Bright Music Festival
27 November 2011

Come to sing, play and dance together. I feel different! Leave me to feel different and love not despite but because I am different! When I grew up I had a pain inside me. Then I was not understanding and was not accepting myself, I was rejecting myself, I was fighting, I was afraid. May be it was to overcome and yet start loving my strangeness was the hardest thing to achieve. The feeling of solitude and insecurity had surrounded and had paralyzed all my life. I had no strength to breath.

In that moment I did not need to express my love to somebody particularly, it was more to fee up the love towards myself and to link my individuality to a community which would accept and understand me. Because all we need the support from the people who understand us even these people are of those who are kicked aside and casts out by those who name themselves "normal".

Bright Music Fest will be held in January 2012 and will be the first LGBT music festival in Bulgaria. Bright Music Fest aims to connect us to show not to the world and the Bulgarian society but more to ourselves that we exist. To support each other, help and love. We chose the music because:
  • The most powerful activism is the one transferred by music.
  • Music is accessible, strong, emotional - so are we.

"Bright Music Fest" aims to create an environment where people to support each other despite their sexual orientation.

The festival will be held on 26 - 29 January.

Until then we look for participants.
